These drawings were created in Visio using the custom connector selection template below. By dragging and dropping the desired connector items from the shapes frame in Visio, any back panel design or product illustration can be quickly created for Marketing or Engineering reference. At the time the drawings were created, the products did not exist. The silkscreens were created in Visio by using the text tool and dragging the connectors off the panel background leaving only the silkscreen artwork in place. The file was then saved and renamed and sent to a printer who used the required acetate medium on which to print the image. The second illustration is a layout conception drawing demonstrating a proposed scheme for board, connector, and power supply positioning. The third drawing is a product stack, front and rear views. Visio allows for scaling to any ANSI drawing size and so for best results, create your drawing in a 1:1 scale. A PDF can be made from Visio, so the draft artwork can be routed for review by individuals who do not have Visio on their computers.
